A Typical Day

Five days a week are "typical" days at Bil-O-Wood. They include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On these days we have standard morning and afternoon activities.

Thursday is special because it is HIKE DAY. After cabin clean up in the morning all cabin groups pick up a bag lunch and hike to a nearby lake or overlook. They return to camp for afternoon swim.

Sunday is also different. Campers do not have to get up for breakfast and the morning is for their choice of activities or church services in Blind River. The afternoon is spent in an "all camp" activity. Sunday dinner is outdoors at Vesper Rock followed by our Vesper service and cabin "truth talks".

On the days when a group is on a canoe trip the schedule totally changes. We move according to the weather and the distances to be covered for that day.
